Applause is pouring it for young cricketer Shreyas Iyer who has scored a phenomenal 80 runs of 111 balls in the third ODI versus West Indies.
Shreyas Iyer was brought back in the team having tested positive for Covid Earlier.
His return to the team has proven to be quite lucky for the squad with his exceptional performance.
The internet is abuzz congratulating the young cricketer especially for delivering such a great performance under pressure although the team lost 3 wickets early on in the match.
Although Shreyas could not manage to score a century, his 80 runs are also being lauded by fans.
Shreyas started with a steady partnership with Rishabh Pant as the two players put on a good score together on board up until Pant got dismissed by Hayden Walsh Jr. having scored 56 runs of 54 balls.
Shreyas’s great performance managed to push the team beyond the 200 runs mark which seemed almost impossible earlier on as the score was 42/3 at one point.
As the country cheers for team India, Shreyas will surely emerge as the hero of the match if the joint effort of the players can lead the team to a victory.
