Confirmed Sony TV's controversial show Pehredaar Piya Ki goes off-air

Sony Entertainment Televisions Pehredaar Piya Ki that was climbed up amid controversies since it aired on is now off-air.

The decision to scrap this show was a last minute call taken collectively by the channel and the makers.

As per BCCC the show’s prime time slot of 8:30 pm was changed to 10:30 pm from Monday onwards.

However the makers and the channel felt that the show is not fit for late night slot and it would be injustice to the story so they thought better to drag it off.

Makers to return back with Diya Ratan

Thus due to its controversial storyline where Diya (Tejaswi Prakash Wayangkar) 21 years of age is shown married to 10 years boy Ratan (Afaan Khan).

The channel and makers have confirmed that the show is now off air but soon they will return with same cast and crew with another story at the same time slot.
