Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s Padmaavat released worldwide on 25th January 2018 under the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18.
The film is based on the 16th-century Sufi poet, Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s epic poem, Padmaavat.
Apart from Hindi, the film is also released in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Unfortunately, the film is not yet released in the states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Goa due to the protests getting wild.
As per the latest reports it is revealed that Ranveer Singh Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s film managed to cross Rs. 100 crore benchmark on first weekend itself being a long Republic weekend.
It seems Padmaavat will manage to cross Rs.200 Crore recovering the entire budget used for the film.
